"Macro Week" Features: Nature
Ah, macro. Close-ups of flower petals, water drops rolled in glitter, perched precariously onto a feather...right? Not always. In the spirit of trying to come up with feature themes I've never seen before, I've decided to take the week to explore the "other side" of macro and finish off by saluting the more popular macro-style photograph (in my own way).
Upcoming Projects
I'm currently working on (in my "spare time") a tutorial for GIMP: "The Mouser's Guide to GIMP" for all of those poor souls, such as myself, that have to make do with a mouse because we can't afford tablets.

If you happen to be one of those souls, please feel free to leave any feedback: either any tips you might want to see in the tutorial or any issues you have that you'd like to see if there is a solution for, or anything else you'd like to say.
I'm also thinking about compiling another calendar, so if you have any ideas please let me know. I'm currently thinking about using a "vintage" look to the images I submit. I have a couple of examples here, please let me know what you think. I am planning on adding borders around the images, I just haven't decided on whether I want a "fuzzy" border, or make the corners rounded and create a "worn" background. I've toyed with the idea of using both types of border in the calendar, but I'm not sure if that would look right.

Captain Zapp Brannigan:
We have failed to uphold Brannigan's Law. However I did make it with a hot alien babe. And in the end, is that not what man has dreamt of since first he looked up at the stars?
